On the Ground in Sunny England

13 of the 17 students were on the flight from ORD to LHR, 1 in 1st class (thanks sis for the miles!) and the rest in steerage. Rest on their way. After landing at 7:30 am, it took 2.5 hours in all to clear customs, grab bags, get some pounds, hop on the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station, get a cab, and then get to the flats which weren't ready. So, we piled everyone's bags into my flat, which the manager thankfully decided to clean first. Everyone else's flats will be ready around 2pm, about the time that people will be ready to crash (few slept on the plane). If previous trip patterns hold - this is the 13th time I've taught this class, though first at Butler, everyone will be up between 6 and 7pm for a night of fun and then sleeping late on Sunday, all of which helps with the 5-hour time change. On Sunday, we meet at 1pm for a brief pep talk, review of guidelines (don't be late, watch out for each other, keep noise down, etc.) and then a fantastic bus top tour of London. Everyone needs to charge their batteries and make sure to bring empty 8gb storage cards because there are great pictures around nearly every corner of London.
